Those advocating govt fall turned flaccid: PM Oli

Kathmandu, 26 April 2025: Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN UML, KP Sharma Oli, has said the people, who were spreading rumour that government would collapse after the return of NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba from Thailand, have turned flaccid.

During a parliamentary party meeting of UML, Chairman Oli directed the party leaders and lawmakers to devote to party organization and the mission rather than to run after such misleading thing, according PM's personal secretariat.

"Once Sher Bahadur ji, after his return from Thailand, said government does not tumble, the rumour mongers became listless," he reminded the leaders, adding that the two large parties had made the government for political stability, development, good governance and prosperity.

According to him, the government was preparing a balanced budget for the next fiscal year. He also urged the party line to vigorously respond to the regressive and anti-constitution elements which fuel violence. Government is firm to bring to book the untoward elements, he vowed.

Moreover, in reference to the US' closure of MCC project for which the government had made agreement with its passage from the parliaments as well, PM Oli said we should be focused on exploring potential for development rather than over-depending on others. The UML is making a strong presence for mission-2084. For it, internal unity is imperative, he underscored.

Oli urged the party lawmakers to present themselves in an informed manner in the parliament.
